Allen, Clay was born September 14, 1927 in Cambridge, Ohio and passed from this life on November 17, 2003 in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anna Kundrat and brothers Paul and George Kundrat. He is survived by his loving wife Gearldyne, daughter Mary Dickson, daughter Sharon Rhodes and her husband Robert, grandchildren Andrea Partlow, Theresa Zachery and her husband Robbie, Kimberley Scott and her husband Charles and Leslie Rhodes and her fiance Luke Watson. Mr. Allen was the lead singer for Dewey Groom's Longhorn Ballroom Texas Longhorn Band for a number of years as well as being an accomplished singer and songwriter. He was a good husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and cherished his time with them. Visitation will be Tuesday November 18 at the funeral home from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM. There will be no viewing the day of the service. Services will be Wednesday November 19 at 10:00 AM in the Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Brothers Joe Price, Frank Denton and James Murry officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park.
