Martin Alonzo died Jan. 23rd 2012 from aneurysm complications.

Family and friends where at his bedside when "Papa" went to be with the lord. Martin is proceeded in death by Father Ramon Barragan Alonzo, Mother Aurora Gonzales Alonzo, Brothers- Raymond G. Alonzo, Pete G. Alonzo, Jesse G. Alonzo, John G. Alonzo, Grandsons- Mario Y. Alonzo Jr. and Jesse D. Miramontes Jr. Survived by his wife of 61 years Beatrice Ybarra Alonzo, Sons- Mario Y. Alonzo, Gilbert Y. Alonzo, Daughter- Gloria Y. Alonzo. Sisters- Eva A Rodriguez Pla., Betty A. Herrera, Aurora A. Wible, Dolores A. Rangel and Brother Martin P. Alonzo. Grandchildren- Gilbert Y. Alonzo Jr., Stanley P. Alonzo, Valeri Palacios, Martin N. Alonzo, Marciano Alonzo, Marcus Miramontes, Melissa Gonzalez and Porfira Alonzo. Great grandchildren- Jesus Miramontes, Jose Miramontes, Julian Miramontes, Jamie Miramontes and Joseph Gonzalez Jr, Ashley Gonzalez, Abigail Gonzalez and Jesse Miramontes III, Anyssa Miramontes and Martin N. Alonzo Jr., Mario A. Martin was a veteran of the Korean war serving his country in the Army. He worked at the Bulk Mail Center Dallas for over 25 years. Martin enjoyed watching the Cowboys and the Cowboy Cheerleaders. He enjoyed the Alonzo Family Easter picnics held since the 1940's. Martin especially liked taking trips to Las Vegas with his lovely wife Beatrice. He also enjoyed playing practical jokes with peppers just ask his Children, Grandchildren or Great Grandchildren. Martin Alonzo lived everyday to love his family with Mind, Body and Soul. He leaves this Earth but not our hearts your Love, loyalty and devotion has branded our hearts with the word "Papa".

Visitation will be held at the Hughes Funeral Home, Crown Hill Chapel, 9700 Webb Chapel Rd., on Friday from 3pm to 8pm with the Rosary being recited at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Calvary Hill Mausoleum, North Chapel. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
