Kent was a fine friend and loads of fun. He worked as the head waiter in the Edwardian Room at The Plaza in New York City and he also sang in classical recitals and in opera. Once a person heard Kent's booming and lush baritone voice, they never forgot it. But perhaps Kent's most endearing trait was his huge sense of humor - his belly laugh could be heard for miles away.

Kent was also a great movie buff. In fact, he died on his way to a movie - falling on the sidewalk in New York and striking his head on the concrete.
