Martha Hamlin-Lear is the daughter of Martha and Llewellyn "Lew" Hamlin. She was the 9th born out of 11 children born in Louisiana: Mary, Alfred, Adolphus, Calvin, Thomas, Joseph, Mandy, Charlie, Martha, Lucien, Henrietta(died at early age). Martha was married January 12, 1888 to Henry Green Lear (7/1/1854 - 3/26/1929). This is my great grandmother. She is my mom's grandmother, the mother of my mom's dad Thomas Calvin Lear. She is buried with him. She died at the age of 91. Martha and Henry had 9 children, however, Henry had a son Henry James Lear with his first wife Clotile Roberson-Lear. She passed 2 years after having Henry James. So Martha is who raised him as her son. The Lear kids were : Henry James, Dorothy, Martha Beulah, Craig Elwood, Earnest Green (Bud), William Atlee, Mary Green, Joseph Dewey, Ruthie, and Thomas Calvin.
