Cecil Johnnie Abbott was born on January 21, 1923 in Jamison, Chilton County, Alabama to Lewis Henry Abbott (1897-1940) and Emma Loraine (Martin) Abbott. Cecil was one of seven children born to Lewis and Emma during their marriage together.

At age 19 on June 30, 1942 Cecil Johnnie Abbott registered for the US WWII Draft. During that timeframe he was working for C.C.C. Camp in Jamison, Chilton County, Alabama. He was 5 foot 9 inches tall with brown eyes and black hair. Cecil weighed 160 pounds and had a dark complexion. He was a white male with no scars or tattoos. Cecil Johnnie enlisted into the Army during WWII on February 1, 1943 and ended his tour of duty on March 25, 1946 as a PVT. During his enlistment in the Army, Cecil was treated for Diagnosis: Vincent's infection (of gums, mouth, pharynx, tonsils) (trench mouth) at a WWII Hospital on August, 1945 - September, 1945.

On February 4, 1949, Cecil Johnnie Abbott was married to Estelle Partridge in Jefferson County, Alabama. Cecil Abbott was a taxi driver in Shelby County, Alabama. On the 1950 census the couple lived with Estelle's parents in Saginaw and Siluria, Shelby, Alabama and Cecil continued to work as a Taxi Driver. Cecil nd Estelle was divorced on December, 1959 in Shelby County, Alabama.

At the age of 74, Cecil Johnnie Abbott passed away on April 16, 1997 in Columbiana, Shelby County, Alabama. His body was laid to rest at Pinelawn Gardens Perpetual Care Cemetery in Columbiana, Shelby County, Alabama.
