BAKER, John Benjamin, age 78 of Woodville, Ala. died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Huntland, Tenn. but was a resident of Harvey and Calumet City, Ill. for over 45 years. He was a United States Navy veteran serving on the USS Bermerton and he was a production foreman for Medalist Redibolt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Rebecca Baker of Huntland. He is survived by his wife , Ruth Wearengin Baker of Woodville, Ala.; son, Gerald D. (Fay) Baker, Sr. of Harvey, Ill.; daughter, Brenda (Michael) Foster of South Holland, Ill.; grandchildren, Gerald D. Baker, Jr., John Wayne Baker, Amy B. Foster and Amy B. Foster and Brandon M. Foster; great-granchildren, Gerald, Katelyn, Rebecca, Patricia and Brezzy; brother, William T. Baker of Huntland and several nieces and nephews. Service was Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Charlie King officiating. Interment was in the Maxwell Cemetery in Belvidere.
