Peggy Heins was born to Kathryn Helen Holman and Charles Wiemer Heins. Peggy became a local dancer in Sl Louis at the Kit Kat Club and local sweetheart Kit Kat Girl! Peggy Heins was a true Flower! Peggy auditioned in New York for the Rocketts at Radio City Music Hall. She was too short for the high kicks. While there, Peggy also tried out for a new song and dance man and became one of two contenders to be the co-star to the new male dancer. However there was only one part and that went to a very young Ginger Rogers for Fred Astare.

Peggy married Joseph Peter Howard and became the mother of Joseph Charles (Joby) and ten years later, Timothy Marion (Timmy).

Peggy became active in the St. Louis Cathedral grade school assisting on many Mothers Club projects. Both sons were rasied in the St. Louis Cathedral Parish. Peggy became the last President of the Mothers Club in 1967-1968. The old grade school was torn down in 1968.

Peggy worked as the Secretary at the Cathedral for 21 years under the leadership of Msgr. (Archbishop) Edward T. O'Meara and Msgr. Rowland E. Gannon.
She was known as "Peg at the Cathedral"

Peggy especially loved her grandson Joey. For reasons known only to Joey, he did not return the love. She finally gave up and became as distant as he was. That broke her heart.
Peggy loved the Lord too!

Peggy Howard passed from smoking cigarettes and lung cancer
