Mrs. Armstrong's maiden name was Fannie B. Strain, daughter of William and Fannie B. Strain and she was born on a farm southwest of Greenville, December 17,1886, She was married November 8,1913 at Indianapolis to Captain Clyde R. Armstrong. He died in 1924,after having retired from the army in 1919. Surviving is a son Jack Richard Armstrong of Louisville Kentucky, a sister Mrs. Eva Murray of Greenville, the last of the family of eight children and two grand children.
Clyde and Fannie had an adopted son, Jack Richard Armstrong, born: 16 Oct. 1921,Louisiana,died: 15 Mar. 1970,Louisville,Jefferson County. Kentucky. Jack was raised in Greenville, Illinois.
