Jan de KOSTER was born December 23th.1920 in BRESKENS-HOLLAND.
August 2th.1939 Jan started His career as Royal Dutch Marine 3th.class.
There was a break during WW2 and May 26th.1945 Jan joined the Dutch Marine Corps again and was send to de USA for His Combat Practice.
November 1th.1945 Jan was promoted to Marine Second Class and temporary Corporal.
Jan was than send to the Dutch East-Indies.
For His Courage during various Military Actions against Terrorist Jan was decorated with the Highest Dutch Military Medal "De Militaire Willemsorde".
Every Soldier,also Admirals and Generals have to Salut the bearer of this Medal.
During His further career in the Royal Dutch Marines Jan was awarded with several more Medals for Braverty.
July 2th.1971 He was promoted to Captain and He left the Marine Corps August 1th.1973.
Jan died March 7th.2004 in His Hometown BRESKENS in HOLLAND.
His cremation took place in the Crematory in TERNEUZEN.
RUST IN VREDE BESTE JAN. Rest in Peace dear Jan.
