Services for Doris Allen 76, of Grand Saline, 2pm Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen passed away on May 16, 2012 at her home in Grand Saline.
She was born to the late Lester & Mamie Ferguson Owen on February 24, 1936, in Childress, Texas. She married Buddy Allen on September 1, 1953, in Mentone, Texas. She spent most all her life in Grand Saline and had a "PHD in Motherhood." She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Buddy Allen, 2 sons: Hersal Allen & Clayton Allen, 1 grandson: Casey Wheeler, 5 brothers & 1 sister.
Survivors include her son & daughter in-law of Broaddus; 2 daughters & sons in-law of Fruitvale, and of Grand Saline; 1 daughter in-law of Edgewood; 1 sister of Humble; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
