Virgil C. Abreu, 58, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, May 13, 2013. He was the son of the late Maria C. (Campanario) and Virgilio DeAbreu. Born in Madeira, Portugal, he was raised in Madeira and came to the United States in 1968 and settled in Stoughton. He attended Stoughton Schools. Mr. Abreu was a member of the Brockton Neighborhood Health Care Advisory Board. In his free time, he enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his sister Maria Abreu of Stoughton and his brother John C. Abreu of RI.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, May 16, at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
