Caroline Mary Oldham Berkeley was the daughter of the Rev. Richard Samuel Oldham (Dean of Glasgow Cathedral and later, rector of Little Chart, Kent, England) and Emily Staveley Oldham. Caroline married Reginald William Fitzhardinge Berkeley on October 20th, 1892 at Little Chart, Kent. They had two daughters: Maisie (emigrated to Chile) and Kathleen Beatrice Berkeley (Norris), who left England with her parents and came to California in 1920. Caroline was known as a kind and loving wife and mother. She died of breast cancer in 1929.
