Sandra Jane Allee was born in Coahoma, Texas on December 3, 1933. She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in math and from Texas A&I University – Kingsville with a master's degree in education. She was married to Ross L. Allee Jr. on December 31, 1954. She was a dedicated math teacher at Moody High School in Corpus Christi for 22 years, pioneering, in collaboration with several other educators, an English-Math-History program so successful that students wanted to attend. In addition, Sandra sponsored the cheerleading team for many years and rarely missed a game. She enjoyed many hobbies, including travel, art, flying and kayaking. She and Ross retired to Concan, Texas, and were active members of the Reagan Wells Baptist Church. Later, they traveled full-time in their motor home for 12 years, frequently volunteering at national parks and meeting new friends along the way.
was always full of energy and tirelessly dedicated to every task she undertook. A woman ahead of her time in countless ways, Sandra earned her private-pilot's license, worked on a paleontology dig in remote Mexico, and assisted with construction of an RV park in North Carolina, just to name a few projects. She will be fondly remembered by her family, friends and students.
