James Robert Forcum passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on April 25, 2014 at the age of 81.
James is predeceased by parents Lucille and Ralph and his sister Emily.
James is survived by his loving wife Charlene of 43 years. They were married in Sweethome on November 23, 1970.
James is lovingly remembered by his children and their spouses daughters, Kathy (Ken) Walker, Patty (Jerry)Condon of Texas, sons Terry (Karen) of Nevada, Paul (Irene) of Oakridge, OR, Ralph of Oakridge, OR, Roger (Sandy) of Springfield, OR, Daughter Doreen (Greg) of Oakridge, OR, Daughter, Tracy (Jim) of Springfield, OR, Son Rodney (Kim) of North Bend, OR., 26 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, Sister Edith (Ken), Brother Glen and numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law LaRayne Edwards.
James was born in Eugene, OR on January 6, 1933. He graduated from Coburg High School in 1951. He worked at Southern Pacific Railroad for 37 years.
James enjoyed trains, spending time with his kids and grandchildren, gardening, fishing, camping, hiking and bike riding.
The visitation will be held at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home 7305 Main St. Springfield, OR 97478 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The Graveside service will be held Springfield Memorial Gardens 7305 Main St., Springfield, OR 97478 May 2, 2014 at 3:00 pm.
A reception/wake will place at the Hometown Buffet May 2, 2014 5:00pm
