Mr. Banks was beloved husband to the late Mary Watts-Banks and father of Wayman, Jr.(late Monique), Lynette M. (Jay), Lisa M., and the late Vernon G. Banks; grandfather of Dr. Shakora (Ginger), Una and Marisa Banks; great-grandfather of Alexys Boone. He was also survived by other relatives and friends. Mr. Banks was the Trinidad Neighborhood Association Senior/Elder Father. He was an invaluable, stabilizing influence in the community and was highly respected, and cherished by many who had the privilege of knowing him. Ninety-six year old Mr. Banks had lived in the neighborhood longer than most of its residents time on earth and was a font of wisdom in that regard.
