Sister Mozell Elnora (Sissy) was born to Dollie V. Sykes and Robert Majors in Broken Bow, OK on March 25, 1932.
She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Church of God in Christ in McAllister, OK.
She attended school at Paul Lawrence Dunbar School in Broken Bow, OK. She meet and married Alvin Deon Anderson in 1952 in DeQueen, Arkansas and later moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1953.
Mozell, known to all as "Sissy," united with the Gospel of Christ Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Finister. She later moved her membership to Holy Deliverance Pentecostal, under the pastorate of Rev. R. DeCuir.
Sister Anderson answered her Heavenly Father's call on Saturday, November 2, 1991 in Fresno, CA.
She leaves to mourn her homegoing, her husband of 38 years, Alvin Deon Anderson; six children, Doristine Wesley and Sharon Deon Anderson of Fresno, CA, Brenda and Angela Anderson of Los Angeles, CA, and Lorraine Anderson of Altadena, CA; 20 grandchildren, Tracy, Dollie, Sheena, Satrina, Johnnie, Jonathan, Felicia, Stacy, Delano, Jorion, Tara, Ykicia, Mozell, Brenda, Antoinett, Delicia, Sharon, Princess, Daniel and Angela; nine great-grandchildren; six stepchildren; six God-children, Patsy McMillion of Bakersfield, CA, Peonache Jones and Jeonnette Grissom and Helen M. Grissom of Compton and Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Marvin Kennybrew, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Marvine Lagman of Los Angeles, CA; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
