Scientist, Educator. Dr. Panico was born into a modest Italian immigrant family in Chicago Illinois. As a child he showed special love for Airplanes and Math. Vince attended The University of Illinois and received his Bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering and a Ph.D from Northwestern University in Applied Mathematics. He worked and participated in submarin design for US Navy. He designed for McDonnell-Douglass Corp. In 1984 his love for teaching brought him to the University of Pacific in Stockton California where he became an Associate Professor in Mathematics. Dr. Panico served as a mentor to many students especially those with engineering classes. He passed away following a short battle with cancer.
