Lewis Winchell Biebigheiser was born in New York City -Manhattan, New York, however; he grew up in Morristown, New Jersey.
Lew graduated Morristown High School in 1932.
He was the son of Lloyd Winchell and Bertha L.Geis Biebigheiser and brother to Thomas Seabrook Biebigheiser and Ina Fairchild Biebigheiser Williams.
He was the owner and operator of Griffin Printing in Chester, New Jersey in the 1940's - and made wood engravings by hand.
In 1956 Lew moved to Dayton, OH from North Carolina (where he lived for several years), and began working for Dayton Typographic Service where he was a typesetter and proofreader until approximately 1976.
Lew enjoyed magic and often performed for children and as well as friends and family members. His other hobbies and interests included photography, CB Radio, origami,wood engraving, printing, jazz (Dixie/New Orleans type), and watching or listening to the Cincinnati Red's play baseball.

Married first to Lena Stark and second to Mary B. Montgomery Bowman.

Father to Margaret, Lee, Bertha & Sarah.
