Joseph Alexander Brown, aged 84 years last April 6th, passed away Wednesday, June 24th, after a lingering illness. He had been a well respected citizen of Cumberland county all his life and a member of the Methodist church for nearly 50 years.
The funeral services were conducted at the church at Taylor's Chapel on Thursday, June 25th, by Rev E C Edens, pastor.
Mr. Brown leaves a wife, totally blind and almost helpless; one son, Charlie; 1 daughter, Mrs S L Vandever.
