GAVIN EARL ANDERSON, 79, of Hattiesburg, MS, died January 30, 2005, at his residence.
Mr. Anderson was a retired drilling consultant and a Baptist. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marry Lizabeth Anderson; a grandson, Robert Kyle Anderson; and his parents, Walter C. and Grace Riggs Anderson.
Survivors include a son, Robert Anderson of Hattiesburg; three daughters, Cathy Ann Jones of Long Beach, Margaret Sue Shmerkin of Hattiesburg and Paulette Stein of O'Neil, Neb.; three sisters, Bernice Lott of Hattiesburg, Pauline Walker of Purvis and Bobbie Jo Fillingame of Pearl; a brother, Edward Anderson of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Anderson Family Cemetery.
