Ivan C. Ahlstrand, 97, formerly of Moline died Monday, July 31, 2006, at Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Health Care, Rock Falls, Ill.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hope United Church of Christ, Moline with visitation one hour before services at the church. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.
He was born Aug. 23, 1908, in Essex, Iowa, to Nils and Segrid Youngbird Ahlstrand. He married Elizabeth Schlaht Dec. 28, 1930, in Burke, S.D.
He was employed as a filter operator for the city of Moline water department. He retired in 1971 after 17 years.
Survivors (and spouse) are his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Judith (George) Munger, Peoria; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Ivan was preceded in death by his son, Wallace Ahlstrand.
