Adolph Adler was born in Germany, Mar. 25, 1846. He came to this country when he was about fifteen years of age, and was employed in the Frank Brown tobacco factory for several years, where he had the misfortune to lose part of his hand. He was afterwards for several years in the employ of the old Geauga Stove Co., and later he was employed by the Paige Manufacturing Co. as engineer, from which place he went to the village engine house as engineer and janitor where he remained until his last illness. He was married to Mary Babcock Webster in the year 1868 by which marriage he was blessed with four children, two of whom are left to mourn his loss.

Mr. Adler died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jessie Ackerman in Cleveland, November 9, 1899.
