SYRACUSE — Marion O. Aeschliman, 100, a former resident of Holly, Colo., died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at his home in Syracuse.

He was born June 27, 1908, in Schuyler County, Mo., to Elias and Addie Aeschliman.

Survivors include five sons, Francis Aeschliman of Independence, Arlie Aeschliman of Holly, Arthur Aeschliman of Syracuse, Gerald Aeschliman of Weippe, Idaho, and Ulys Aeschliman of Coolidge; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

His wife, Nettie Aeschliman, died Nov. 30, 2003. He also was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Dinzle Aeschliman; a granddaughter, Mary Aeschliman; a brother, Ezra Aeschliman; and a sister, Anna Lee Koehn.

Funeral was 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Wesleyan Church in Syracuse, officiated by Paul Runyon, pastor. Burial at Coolidge Cemetery.

Visitation hours were 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly and 10 a.m. to service time Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Wesleyan Church in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Foundation or the Wesleyan Church of Syracuse, either directly or in care of the funeral chapel, Box 950, Lamar, CO 81052.
