Anne L. Campbell, 85, of Garden City, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City will announce arrangements.

Anne Louise Campbell, age 85, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born July 16, 1924 in Hutchinson, Kansas the daughter of Clarence & Venita Rose Wesley. A resident of Finney County since 1948 moving from Hutchinson, Kansas, she had earned her BS degree in Home Economics from Kansas State University. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the UMW Hawkins Circle, Chapter X P.E.O., all of Garden City and Pi Beta Phi Sorority of Kansas State University.

On February 14, 1948, she married Delbert L. Campbell in Hutchinson, Kansas. He passed away on January 17, 1999 at Garden City, KS.

Survivors Include: two sons, Ron L. Campbell of Wichita, Kansas, and Wes E. Campbell of Garden City, Kansas; two daughters, Christine Wallace of Wichita, Kansas and Kathy Damron of Topeka, Kansas; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Del; a brother, James Wesley; and a sister, Jean Wheelock.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas with the Rev. David Bell presiding. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.

Friends may call from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.

The family requests memorials be given to the church or the Western Kansas Community Foundation to establish a nursing scholarship in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
