Liz passed away very peacefully at St. John's Medical Center Hospice Care with her husband and two sons at her side early Wednesday morning. Viewing will be at Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home in Warren. She was a 3 times cancer survivor!

She taught many subjects including History at elementary schools for 42 years, so only fitting that she passed away on the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack. She and her husband Ron are members of St. Bonaventure's Fraternity O.F.S. (Secular Franciscan 3rd Order).

Liz and Ron recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary staying on the 66th floor of the Renaissance Center in Detroit. They were married Aug. 20th 1966. It was a small ceremony this year with their son, from Madison Heights and Liz's youngest sister, from Center Line.

She was an original participant for the annual Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk in 1958. Her last bridge walk was completed 3 months ago on September 5th, 2016 with her son, and two only grandchildren from Arizona.

She is survived by a grand dog, Trooper!

Liz's medical miracles:
June 1987 - Thyroid Cancer - surgery / radiation - Remission!
Sept. 2006 - Colon Cancer - surgery / no spread to lymph system - Remission!
Jan. 2011 - Stage IV Breast Cancer metastasizing to spine - Estrogen Receptor Positive - Hormonal Therapy - Remission!

July 2015 - Breast Cancer returned metastasizing to Sacrum area and Liver - chemotherapy and radiation able to stop / slow down spread until Nov. 2016 - complications.
