WEST BEND - Funeral services for Mable Irene Aasheim of Minneapolis, 82, was held Saturday, Jan. 28, in the chapel of the Schellhammer-Harris Funeral Home of West Bend. The Rev. Harold Naig, pastor of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Bode, officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

Mable Irene, daughter of Alfred and Julia Olson Aasheim, was born at Enderlin, ND on Mar. 31, 1906. The Aasheim family moved to Bode in 1917 and Mable graduated from Bode High School in 1925. She attended Dr. Martin Luther College at New Ulm for one year.

She had moved to Minneapolis years ago and died there Jan. 26 (1989) in Fairview Hospital.

Mable is survived by one sister, Gladys Selvig of Bode, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mable I. Aasheim, 82, Minneapolis, MN, formerly of Bode, were held Saturday Jan. 28, at the Schellhammer-Harris Funeral Home in West Bend, with burial in St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery, Bode. She died Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.

The Schellhammer-Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements, with the Rev. Harold Naig, pastor of the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Bode, officiating. Casketbearers were Kenneth Olson, Clifford Helland, Neal Olson, Erling Olson, Richard Olson, and Orville Olson.

Survivors include a sister, Gladys Selvig of Bode, and several nieces and nephews.

Mable Aasheim, daughter of Alfred and Julia (Olson) Aasheim, was born March 31, 1906, in Enderlin, ND. In 1917 she moved to Bode with her family, where she received her education. She graduated from the Bode High School in 1925.

She then attended Dr. Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN. She had been a resident of Minneapolis since 1932.
