Alex was the son of James William and Carol Marie Walling Alexander. He married my Aunt on July 14, 1965. They had a son and a daughter. He was the proud Poppy to 1 granddaughter and two grandsons, and the much loved Uncle of 9 nieces and 2 nephews. Besides his wife, children & thier spouses, grandchildren and nieces and nephews, he is survived by 1 sister, a brother-in-law and his wife(my parents) and 2 sister-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Judith(in infancy), a sister-in-law, Karen Rae Inman Finn, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Richard Inman.

Alex joined the Navy in 1962, and was eventually stationed at Crane, Indiana at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division. In 1995, he retired from Crane. He was a member of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion, where he served on the honor guard. He was also a member of the Bedford Boat and Sportsmans' Club and an inactive member of the Owensburg Masonic Lodge. He was also an avid golfer.

I have so many good memories of my Uncle. My brother and I spent alomost every weekend at my Aunt and Uncle's. We'd stay the night, and have breakfast with them in the mornings. We'd also go golfing with them, even if we weren't that great.

One of my favorite memories happend when I was about 6 and my brother was about 3. We had spent the night with our Aunt and Uncle, and the next day, both my brother and Alex were tired, so they took a nap. My brother wet the bed, but he, being the persuasive child he was, convinced Uncle A. that he(Alex) was the one who did it.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
