Sophia Doris Wend was the daughter of Emil Albert and Caroline Wend. She was the fifth of six children. Sophia married Frank(Franz) A Nehse on March 16, 1911 in Ottowa, Canada and they had one daughter named Frances. The family lived in Toronto, Canada. Sophia separated from her husband and returned to Lemont, Illinois.
Sophia was married for the second time in Chicago at St. Paul's Church on Orchard Street (Lincoln Park) to Oscar Albert Mueller on March 7, 1921. She enjoyed dressing with great style and had a playful sense of humor. The Mueller family settled in the city of Elgin, Illinois where Sophia died in 1923 of cancer.
