Clinton Ardell Amb, 71, of Portland, ND, died Thursday, February 26, 2009, at MeritCare Rehab Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Clinton was born on August 6, 1937, at Page, ND, to Ida (Larson) and Albert Amb. He was baptized and confirmed at the Elm River Lutheran Church in Galesburg, ND. He grew up in the Galesburg area and attended rural school in Dows Township, graduating from the Galesburg High School. Clinton also attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

After his schooling, he held jobs with a feed company in Grandin and West Fargo, ND and also worked for various farmers for a number of years. Clinton has resided in Portland since 1986. He enjoyed the outdoors, biking, gardening and sports.

He is survived by four sisters, Inez (Leon) Nelson of Portland, ND, Evelyn (William) Elliott of Fargo, ND, Delores Ludwig (Roger) Barnard of Lubbock, TX and Janice (Glenn) Larson of Chino Valley, AZ. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Will be Tuesday, March, 3, 2009 from 1-2 PM at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville, ND. Funeral Service: 2 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville, ND. Burial: Bruflat Cemetery, Portland, ND.
