Doris Laverne Barry, 84, of Brookfield, formerly of Norwalk, wife of the late Leo A. Barry, died Tuesday, February 24th at Danbury Hospital.

Born in Norwalk, February 29, 1924, daughter of the late Charles and Inez Mills Bucknam, she was a Norwalk resident most of her life, moving to Brookfield twenty-five years ago. Prior to retirement at age 79, Mrs. Barry worked locally in sales and management at various firms; including Pepperidge Farms (for many years), Bigelow Tea, Fullams, and the Hallmark store in Broadriver.

Survivors are her five children; Kathleen Camarota and Nancy Barry, both of Brookfield, Leo Barry of Danbury, Neil Barry, of Shelton, and Bridget Barry also of Danbury, one sister, Inez DeClement of Zephyrhills, Florida, fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Barry is predeceased by two brothers; Robert and Albert Bucknam.

Services will take place Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, with Rev Jack R. Writenour, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Shelton, officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Island Cemetery.

Friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
