Timothy Alexander Bates, 5 1/2-week-old son of Andrew and Nina Downey Bates, of 139 Kathwood Drive, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012.
Surviving, in addition to his parents of the home, are a sister, Autumn Falkingham of Travelers Rest; grandparents, Timothy and Cindy Bates of Laurens and Hong Suk Downey of Williamston; great-grandmother, Nina G. Downey of Greenwood; aunts and uncles, Lisa Potter of Williamston, Jasmine Gibbs and her husband, Sullivan, of Willow Springs, NC, Sarah Bates of Laurens and Paul Jason Downey of the home.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Paul L. Downey.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. D. Rivington Temple officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.
