Deborah Anita Austin MATTHEWS - Deborah Anita Austin, 54, of Matthews, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from complications of diabetes. She was born February 1, 1958 in Charlotte, daughter of Donald Austin, Sr. and Lucille Hagler Austin. Deborah graduated from Garinger High School in 1976 and was retired from the Mecklenburg County ABC Board. She had a never ending love for her dogs. In addition to her parents she is survived by her sisters, Donna Mullis of Matthews, and Becky Austin of Charlotte; brothers Troy Austin of Charlotte, and Doug Austin of Indian Trail. She is also survived by two nieces and one great-nephew. The family will receive friends Thursday May 2, 2013 from 6:30pm until 8:30pm at J.B. Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 Sharon Amity Rd. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 12:00pm Noon at Evergreen Cemetery with Reverend Henry Ward and Reverend John Harrill, of Hickory Grove Baptist Church officiating.
