Died — Of consumption, at the residence of his mother in Washington Township [now Avon], Boliver Aker, on the evening of April 25, age 24 years, 6 months and 23 days.
He was a member of the Methodist Church, and leaves to mourn his death many relatives and friends. Generous, kind to all, pure in life, and ever on the side of morality and virtue. Though early called away, he was enabled to see that "life is vain," and that there was nothing worth living for but to prepare for eternity. He died in the hope of immortal glory and was prepared to have exclaimed, "I have finished my course, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown that fadeth not away."
