Chris Bullard Sr., 74, 509 May Street, suffered a heart attack Tuesday afternoon and was pronounced dead on arrival at Doctors' Hospital.
Mr. Bullard, who was a retired jiggerman from Publisher's Papermill about four years ago, was born on December 18, 1882 at Carus and had spent his entire lifetime in this area. He was a member of the Pulp and Sulphite Union No. 68.
Survivors include two sons and three daughters, Chris Jr., Milwaukie; Thurman, Oregon City; Mrs. Agnes Gregory, Jennings Lodge; Mrs. Emily Unger, Milwaukie; Mrs. Charlotte Haskins, Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Frank, Oak Grove; 11 grand-children, two great-grand-children; and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Horace Bachelder will officiate at the 11 a.m. service Monday, July 2, at Holman-Hankins-Rilance Funeral Home.

Christian (Chris) Alfred Bullard Sr. was the Son of Frederike (Charlotte) Hornschuch/Hornshuh and Fredrick (Fred) Bullert/Ballard/Bullard. Christian married Maude (Bradley) twice. In 1900, Christian was a Grinderman, in 1918, he was a Laborer, and in 1930, he was a Jiggerman at the Crown Willamette Paper Co. in West Linn, Clackamas Co., OR.
