Henry Baker was already a man in his seventies when he left his home in Stokes County NC and settled with his adult children in Monroe County IN. The move took place sometime between 1826 and 1828. His 1838 will mentions his wife Elizabeth and six children:

1. Docia Baker Smith (1784 – 1814)
m. Joseph Smith in NC. d. NC. Her grave has not be located.

2. Magdeline Baker Foddrill (1786 – 1867) m. John F Foddrell in NC. d. Monroe Co IN.

3. Nancy Baker Cannon (1786 – 1867) m. William Cannon in NC. She moved to Monroe County with the rest, but later relocated to Auduban Co Iowa.

4. Tansey Baker Gentry (1800 – 1895)
m. James Gentry in NC. She died in Monroe Co. IN. Her grave has not been located.

5. Absalom Baker (1802 – 1869)
m. Harriet Jane Gentry in NC. He died in Monroe Co, IN and was buried in Burch Cemetery.

6. Sarah Baker Tilley (1805 – 1847)
She m. Reuben Dodson Tilley in NC. She moved to Monroe County with the rest, but later relocated to Harrison Co, MO.

All six children married in North Carolina, and, except for Docia who died in 1814, all of Henry's children and their families made the move to Monroe County Indiana between 1826 and 1828.

The grave of Henry's spouse, Elizabeth, has not been located.

There is definitely a Henry Baker who was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. He was married to Phoebe Clark and his parents were Henry Baker Sr. and Phoebe Hedges. Some believe this is that Henry Baker, however there are some inconsistent facts such as the fact that the soldier was born in 1755 in Westfield, N J and died in 1839 in Watkins, N Y. I don't believe that this Henry Baker is the same Henry Baker as that one. He might still be a Revolutionary soldier, but I can't absolutely prove it.
