James was born in Bradford, PA, on March 13, 1923, the son of Leonard and Mary Sheridan Alborg. He married Betty L. Maisenbacher Alborg in California on July 7, 1944, and she preceded him in death in 2008. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and James Alborg, both in 1988, and a son-in-law, Jim Keys in 2011.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He retired after many years with Stewart Warner Hobbs as a Regional Marketing Manager.
He is survived by daughters, Ann Keys of Rochester and Salli (husband, John) Chernis of Sherman; sons, Don Alborg of Springfield and Bill Alborg of Mission, TX; five grandchildren, Cori Charlson, Katie Keys Weaver, Cassie and T.J. Keys, Scott and Eric Alborg; and several great-grand-children, nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.
