INGLESIDE, TX - ABEL ADAME, JR., 61, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at his home. He was born September 19, 1945 in Ingleside, Texas to Abel Adame, Sr. and Felicitas Avitia Adame. He was a lifelong resident of Ingleside. Abel retired 3 years ago as the Superintendent of the Street Dept. for the City of Ingleside, where he had worked for 22 years. He was very active in the Ingleside Little League Organization and umpired many games. He enjoyed working with youth organizations. Abel was an extremely active member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Church of Ingleside. Abel was loved by so many people and will truly be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Marcus Adame, who died the same day as his grandfather, 3 years ago on February 14, 2004.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Anna of Ingleside; four sons: Abel (GiGi) Adame, III, Tommy (Stacie) Adame and Mark (Monica) Adame all of Ingleside and Michael (Lorie) Adame of Portland; one daughter, Ida Adame of Ingleside; four brothers: Pedro (Lupe) Adame, Ignacio (Delia) Adame, Saul (Erlinda) Adame and Armando (Mary Lou) Adame all of Ingleside; three sisters: Eva (Joe) Flores, Diana (Tony) Garcia and Sylvia Adame all of Ingleside and 17 grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends and a prayer service were held Feb. 16 & 17 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel - Aransas Pass.
Funeral services were conducted Feb. 18 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Interment followed at San Ignacio Cemetery in Ingleside, Texas.
