Rene Abrego, Sr., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 12, 2007. He was employed with the Corpus Christi Gas Division for the past 30 years. He served in the United States Army for 6 years. He attended Roy Miller High School.
He survived by his loving mother, Juanita G. Medina; his only son, Rene Abrego, Jr. (Connie); two brothers, Ronnie E. Abrego, of Corpus Christi, Texas and Tommy Abrego, Sr. (Aida) of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Gina M. Dominquez of Austin, Texas, Cora A. Patiño (Danny) and Verna Lisa Garcia (John) both of Corpus Christi, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Tiofica Canchola; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Pallbearers: Rene Abrego, Jr., Ronnie E. Abrego, Tommy Abrego, Sr., Danny Patiño, John David Garcia and Robert Castillo.
Rene will be dearly missed. And was loved by all his family and friends.
Visitation held on September 16, 2007 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Services held on September 17, 2007 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment followed at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
