Francisco M. Acuna, age 92, went to be with our Lord on Monday, July 14, 2008 surrounded by his family. He was born April 2, 1916 in Kingsville, Texas, to Jose and Fernanda Acuna, the youngest of eleven children.
Francisco was a participant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church as an usher and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Prayer Group.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Edelmira Acuna.
He is survived by his loving wife, Francisca, of 72 years; six children, Miguel Acuna, Daniel (Amparo) Acuna, Mary (Ramiro) Romero, Emma (David) Tovar, David (Maritza) Acuna and Fred (Linda) Acuna; 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, seven great, great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Francisco was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed.
Visitation and a rosary service were held at Funeraria del Angel on July 17th. A funeral mass was celebrated Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on July 18th. Interment followed.
