Giovanni came to this country from Gallo Italy in 1900 to find work - after 4 or so years, he sent for his wife and 2 daughters. According to my research, they buried 3 other children in Italy. They lived in Pennsylvania for a time, but moved to New York where his wife Rosa, had 3 more children and then died of a massive infection when she was 43 years old. Grandpa loved his DiNobali cigars that he soaked in red wine and dried. He was a good father and died from colon cancer. Giovanni raised his children and never married again.
