My grandfather Domenico and his wife came to the US and Uncle Joe was born in NYC. His mother died in NY. He married Victoria and had 6 children - 2 died very young from diptheria - I remember when I was a little girl and we had dinner at my Uncle Joe and Aunt Vicky - he would make his own wine in the cellar and there would be a gallon on the floor next to his dinner place all the time. Great wine!! My Aunt Vicky made the best dinners - during Easter time she made Easter bread with a hard boiled egg sitting in the dough. What a treat!
