Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2PM in the Kimber and West Chapel for Milo A Abernethy, 72, of Victoria, who died Monday at Osceola, IA. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery near Altona. Friends may call at the chapel this evening between the hours of 7 and 9 o'clock. Death was attributed to hardening of the arteries and he had been ill for eight months.
Mr. Abernethy was born November 20, 1882 at Altona and resided on a farm near Altona until he was 23. For 49 years he resided on a farm three miles west of Victoria. He attended Altona High School and Brown's Business College in Galesburg. His marriage to Henrietta Sheahan took place at Altona January 17, 1906. He was a member of the Victoria Methodist Church and Darrah Lodge No. 793, AF and AM of Victoria, in which he had been a member for 36 years and which he served two terms as worshipful master.
Surviving are the wife; two brothers, Ray and Ralph of Altona, two sisters, Mrs. Simeon McGann and Mrs. Viola McGann, both of Altona, and one grandchild.

The Rev. Allen Eastland, pastor of the Victoria Methodist Church, conducted funeral services today at 2PM in the Kimber and West Chapel, for Milo A Abernethy, 72, of Victoria, who died Monday. Songs were by Arvid Erlandson, with Mrs. Harry Neave as organist.
Masonic services were held by AT Darrah Lodge No. 793, AF and AM, with Earl Erickson as worshipful master and Walter Watkins, secretary.
Burial was in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, near Altona. Pallbearers were Harry Anderson, Dale Doak, Arthur McKie, Arthur Seiboldt, Kirk McDowell and DeWitt McDowell.
