~~~My Beloved Maternal Grandmother, killed by a drunk driver.~~
Beloved wife of the late James. Loving mother of Kathleen Veech(Nee O'Brien),Sister Margaret O'Brien MM and Brother Gerard O'Brien O.S.F. Former Superior General of the Franciscan Brothers Dear Mother-In-Law of Edward Veech. Adored Grandmother of Patricia Veech-Cocurullo and Edward Veech Jr.Killed in a car crash by a DRUNK DRIVER. My PopPop was really the one who spoiled us just a little more than Grandma, but when he passed my grandma took right over in the spoiling department, although I can tell you she was very strict with her children growing up. She would tell me when I grew up I could live in her house and it would be mine. LOL, but they do not give houses to 12 years olds and I used to tease my mother years later that she "stole my house".My Mother lived with such guilt after she died. My grandma liked to cook, but my mother insisted it was hot and she deserved to go out to eat. Leaving the restaurant my brother and I argued over who would sit in the front, to keep peace my Grandma sat in the front seat. She saved our lives.Whoever sat in that seat would have been killed. She died with her rosary in her hands and now I have that rosary and it is a cherished memento.She took very seriously pray without ceasing.We were on our way home from dinner to celebrate her 85th Birthday, and he stole her from us. Please folks if you are going to drink DO NOT DRIVE. So many here on this site are deprived of their loved ones because of irresponsibly.God Bless all victims of drunk drivers.
~~Well Done Good and Faithful Servant~~
~~~Heartfelt thanks to all who leave flowers for my beloved Grandmother,I read and treasure everyone and they bring me great comfort and joy.I always try to say thank you,but sometimes time slips away.~~~
