Rober starred in the 1951 drama "The Well" (1951), a low-budget but earnest plea for racial tolerance. His other credits include "Call Northside 777" (1948), "Any Number Can Play" (1949), "Deported" (1950), "Sierra" (1950), and "The Devil Makes Three" (1952). He died in a car crash.
