Mrs. Gilbert was a piano teacher from the age of 15 until her death. she was a lifelong resident of Metz INdiana and a member of the Metz christian church, where she played piano and organ from 1937 until her death. She had played for 112 weddings.
she was born may 14, 1912 in Alvarado to ora E. Eyster and Elizabeth r. Kiess.
surviving is one son, Stanley gilbert of Metz indian; one daughter Elaine Graham of Metz Indiana. 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
she was preceded in death by one son Wendell Gilbert in 1986. three brothers, Isaac, Ernest and Paul Eyster and one sister Lois McClellan.
services will be held Saturday at 11:a.m.in Metz church with Rev. Greg Essex. burial in Metz cemetery.
