Born May 13, 1926, in Marengo, he was the son of the late Forest R. and Elma D. Denton Churchill.
He was a graduate of Corydon High School and Indiana University, a former employee of Olin Chemical Corp. in Brandenburg, where he worked in safety and security, a former chief of the Irvington (Ky.) Volunteer Fire Dept., an Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the Italian campaign with the 85th Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, and a member of the Irvington Little League Association and Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Forest R. Churchill Jr., and a sister, Evelyn Belcher.
Visitation: Tuesday, Aug. 14, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 15, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Harrison County Parks Dept. for Hayswood Nature Reserve at Corydon.
