Charles A. Bailey
Charles A. Bailey, 69, of Salina and a former El Dorado resident, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 27, 1986 at the Veterans Hospital in Wichita. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
He was born Jan 22, 1917 at Bartlesville, Okla., the son of Charles E and Mable Randall Bailey. H was a construction worker and had lived in Salina and also in El Dorado. He served in the Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart and several other medals.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Bailey of Independence, MO. And Bill Bailey of Lees Summit, MO,; one brother, W.I. Bailey of El Dorado; three sisters, Tiny Malen and Susan Hall, both of El Dorado, and Grace Robertson of Alameda, N.M.; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at Carlsons Funeral Home.

The Rev. Letha Wood officiated at the services, Tressie Lambert sang "Take My Hand, Precious Lord" and "God Will Take Care Of You"
