Arvila Margaret Charlton Bingham, 78 of Orem, died July 17, 1991, at her home, from a heart attack.

She was born August 22, 1912, in West Weber. She was the oldest of 12 children, of Albert Ray and Maggie Genett Hogge Charlton. She married Clarence E. Bingham, November 6, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She grew up in West Weber. She moved to Montana in 1948 and remained there until 1974 when she moved back to Utah.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had served as ward and stake Relief Society president. She also served in all the auxiliaries throughout her life. She enjoyed singing in the ward choir and doing genealogy work. She served as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple for several years.

She loved handicrafts and was a member of he neighborhood sewing club. She was a seamstress. She loved her family and neighbors.

She is survived by her husband, if Orem, three sons and two daughters, LaMonte (Monte) Bingham, Helena, Mont.; Ray Bingham, Madesto, Calif.; Roger Bingham, JoAnn Westover, both of Orem; Colleen Standing, Fresno, Calif; 31 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four brothers, and six sisters. She is preceeded in death by a bother and one infant sister.

The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Orem 48th Ward Chapel, 80 S. 280 East. Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the Sundbert-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State, Orem and Monday from 12:45-1:45 p.m.at the ward chapel.

Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetary.
