Betty Jean Robertson Arrant, 84, passed away Feb 9th, 2012. She was born March 2, 1927. Betty lived in the Modesto -Oakdale area as a child, attending the Modesto Union Elementary and Modesto Union Academy (Seventh-day Adventist Schools), until moving to the San Diego Area to finish her Christian education at the San Diego Union Academy, Class of 1944. Betty married Eldon Arrant in 1946, and eventually they moved back to Modesto to raise their family, farming almonds on the out skirts of Modesto, on Old Oakdale Rd. Betty lived in Modesto with her family from 1961 until 1991, when they moved to Yuma, AZ. Betty was an active member of the Salida/Parkwood Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as a member of the Stanislaus Stumblers Square Dance Club.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Jesse Arrant, her father, Paul L. Robertson and mother, Esse L Reed Robertson. She is survived by her son, Kevin Dale Arrant and his wife Karen Arrant, daughter, Linda Sue Arrant Bell, brother, Dr. Robert Robertson and his wife Veletta Robertson, grandchildren, Denis R. Arrant, Mindi L. Wammack, and Christopher J.D. Arrant, and great-grandchildren, Morgan Geary, Kyle Wammack, Gage Wammack, Ashton Wickersham, Jacobi Arrant, and Mikylie Arrant.
Graveside services will be held Sat. Feb 18th at 2:00pm at the Modesto Cemetery on Scenic Dr., Modesto, CA.
