Glynn Ray Bourland, age 79, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on April 9, 2012. He was born July 28, 1932, in Chamberville, Texas, to Ray E. and Irene E. (Chandler) Bourland. On December 29, 1951, Glynn married Peggy Roberts, in Rockwall, Texas. Glynn proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. He was a member of Northwest Christian Church for over sixty years where he served as a deacon. He was a devoted husband, dad and pawpaw.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Bourland; son, Ricky Bourland and wife Sharon; daughter, Gaynell Eastham and husband Billy Jack; grandchildren, Bruce Bourland and wife Nikki, Derek Eastham, Blake Bourland and wife Kim and Brittany Eastham; great-grandchildren, Taylor Eastham, Grace Bourland, Madison Bourland, Jolie Bourland, Brennan Strange, Braylee Strange, and Mason Bourland (arriving soon); sister, Edna Higginbotham. He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters in-law, and nieces and nephews.

Glynn is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Irene Bourland; and two brothers, Lyman and Robert Bourland.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, Allen, Texas.
